A .Sleeting of the Board was held on Saturday. Present ; Messrs i Newlon, Stewart, Chatfield, and Wright." Mr Newton explained that the Chirman waa unavoidably absent in Chrißtohurcb. Narbey an follows :— " Long Biy, July 27tb. 1892. " Sir, —I respectfully beg to oailj. the attention of your Board to. a decision which was arrived at some eighteen months ago respecting the formation of 20 chains of the road leading from Purple - Peak on to my property. In reply, to my letter on the subject in the.early part of this year it was resolved that the'matter should be attended to. Ido n.ot wish to be unneoessirily clamorous for this,,work, yet, 68 1 have made but few calls upon the Board, and these■only. hesitation, 1 feel that the necessity whichexists for an exit on tbe southern side of my property justifies me in asking "ii the Board can at present see its way to oarry out the original decision, I still beg to willingly offer assistance with the work by clearing tbe buab on the line."

WAINUI AND MT. BOSBU ROAD. Mr Wright reported that the Mt. Boasu Road was in & very had state. After ex "mining as to wh j n contract waa let for Work, it was found that Mr Lyons' (the cohtraciorV) time had expired the work, and ir was resolved that if the work is not completed Hatiat'uctorily by next meeting of the Road Board, the work will be re-let.
