MeeersMoßiTZSON and Hopkin, DanediD, report for the week :— Cocksfoot— Nothing doing yet in the new season's crop in this market, have enquiries for samples and quotatious Ryegrass is in strong demand, and good prices are being paid for any offering. Cheese—Market quiet, only good quality saleable at anything like a payable figure. Wβ want a few loaf size which we could place at about 4d. Wβ are eeliiog large Bize at 3£i to 3£d. Fruit—Market well supplied from all quarters. Plume Id to 2d ; apples Id to l£d up to 2d for large oooking kinds; pears, unless good eating, no demand, ljrt to 2£d ; peaohea 2d to 3d ; tomatoes 2d to 3d.

Meesrs J. B. Rutland & Co.. auctioneers, grain merohants, etc., of Tiraaru, report holding their weekly auction on Saturday, 7th met., there being a very largo attendance of buyers, and as a oonsequence a satisfactory sale resulted. Poultry—Entries were numerous, and prices were considerably better than the previous week. Hene 2a to 2s 6d per pair, roostere 2s to 3s do, ducks 3s to 3s 3d do ; geese, no entries ; turkeys, hens, 3s 6d each. Pigs—One entry of pure Yorkshires not realising the owner's reeerve were passed in. Fowl wheat, 5s to 10s per sank ; potatoes, 5a to 7s do; cheese, 4d per lb; butter, 7d to 8d do ; egijs, 8d to B£d. Fruit A large consignment of fruU arrived during the day from Akaroa, a portion being sold at following prices :— Plums. 2d to 2£ 1 ; peaches. 3d per lb.
