LONDON BUTTER MARKET.

The following prices were realised for butter by the Arawa: -Best 112s, medium 100s. much inferior 60m to 80s.

Tin N.Z. Farmers' Co operative Association of Canterbury, Limited, report as follows : — Cheese—New is coining forward, and the miiktit indie>tioni ars more favorable tb>m iast season. Small lots have found buyers at 41 to 4Ad. Butter—Prime fresh, 6d to 7d.

Tns New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency: Company, Limited, report: — Woo'—During the week the cables from Loudon been of an unsatisfactory tenor, though the mo9t recent ones report an improvod tone and a slight advance in prices for superior merino, both greasy and scoured. The first sale of the season at Asuburton was held on 4th inst., when catalogues comprising 1600 bales were offered to a small attendance of buyers. .Prices, however, wore very satisfactory, and a good clearance was effecied. In conjunction with Mi J G. Restoll we submitted a small catalogue, o-ir range of prices being :—Crossbred Oil to 9jl, thrie- quarterbred 7d to merino 7d to 7£d, pieces and locks 5d to 6| I. Grass Seeds—Tho se9Bon for'sowing being ovr. tho prices ore only nominal. Machine-dressed ryegrass, 4s 6d to 4s 9 1 per bushel. Cocksfoot. 4f Ito 4;f 1 per lb.
