AL-DINGTON LIVE STOCK MARKET. Wednepdat. Fairly hetfvy entries of stock yarded, and with fine weather the attendance was about an average one. Fa* Cattle —A., out an average entry of principally good quality beef, mainly steers. Tbe demand was again very dull, and values were; if anything, a shade lower than last week's pri_ es. Steers of heavy weight and good quality sold at froo. £6 5s to£7 2.6 d; medium weights, £5 to £5 15s; heifers and fat cows, £3 15s to £4 17s 6.1, being at from 14s to 16s per lOO.'bs. • Store Cattle—A moderate entry, mostly email lines. For yountf cattle tbe demand was again a pretty free one ; woll grown cattle, in sympathy with the fat cattle market, were dull of sn.e. Dairy Cattle—A small entry, and not much enquiry ; late values. For e;ood c'own in full to immediate profit, £5 10a to £G 12s Gd ; medium. £3 to £4 10s. Fat C dyes—A rather largo entry, and val.jesin sonsequenee low. Prime vealers 10-i to 16s 6d. Medium, 6s to 7a 6d. F_t Sheep — A fairly full market. Qu.liiy us n.uaj varied, but on the whole good, tbe demand was almost entirely To.iftt. not very brisk, and, despite constant withdrawals, "priceß had a further downward t.nd.ncy. Prime crossbred withers at from 9. to'lOs 4d ; light weights 7a Od lo 8-* Gi ; r.pinbred ewes, 5. 6'l to Bs. Marino wetlv™, 4s to 4s 6d. being at from to about. If 1 per lb. Fat Limbs—Another full market,and an easier demand, values sliowing a further slight drop. Priir.est lambs sold at from 8s Gd to 7 _ 101 ; medium, 5_ 6d to 6s. Pi..rg_A fairly-good entry m\h a keen enquiry, late values being fully maintained. Porkers- fold at from 20e to 29s ; heavier weights, 30_i to 39s ; stores, 12s 6d to 18-.— Press.
[By Telegraph.] Messrs Matson & Co. report as follows : Light entry of fat and .tore cheep on Wednesday ; quality mixed. Butchers having large stocks on hand were not heavy purchasers, and little, if any, rise took place from last week. '. The drop in the fat lamb market overdone, and aa but few were taken for freezing prices declined. Entry of store sheep very small, and business nominal. Trade in pigs still continues very brisk. Entry of beef slightly below average ; demand rather weaker than last sale. Outbid _ quotations about 16. 6d per IOOIbs for tbe best. In stores the enquiry for young stock was rather better than of late ; in other classes there was no change for the better. Dairy cattle market is in a weak and inanimate state.
