LITTLE RIVER ROAD BOARD.
The inontlily meeting of this Board was held on Monday, Dec. 6; present—all the members. CORKESrOXPICXCG. A communication was received from the Secretary for Public Works, relative to exchange of land for road, and enclosing forms to be filled in for the purpose of transfer. From Mr Wright, of Island Bay, asking for a further extension of road at present forming in that locality. From Mr A. C. Knight, in relation to the Slime subject. MISCELLANEOUS. In reference to W. Bcvin's application for an extension of lease for Section 21205, it was contended to grant a lease for a term of five years, the Board reserving the right to take two acres a< - any time on which to build an office if required. Mr McPhail attended for the purpose of obtaining an extension of time for completion of contract on the Lake Forsyth and Mount Bossu Ridge road. Doyle lie again informed that, if the j notices with reference to clearing gorse
from the roads are not complied with, legal proceedings will be taken. A general report on progress of works was submitted and adopted, Twenty-two applications were received for the situation of Ork and Overseer, and the tender of Mr Thomas Quealy wai accepted. Tenders were also opened for certain works, and one accepted in each cane, and the meeting terminated.
