'■ 'By the Public Works Statement; it is propos'ed'to make the* line from Lincoln to Little River 25 miles, bnt the Public Works estimates show pnly a vote for £2500 for the works of tins year. It is proposed to appropriate the balance required to,-complete,the formation of the 25 miles in a future session of Parlia-ment^,-The vote this, year will leave, afteT paying present contract, only £5000 for sleepers and'rails for the first 17 miles.: It is not intended to accept tenders this year, ending 80th June, for . the formation of the line from Birdling's to Little River.' The vote last year was £30,000, and as only £166 were spent, the present proposal is to reduce that vote by upwards oL£2QOjL-
