Last year it paid out £8,750,000 in benefits to its members or their beneficiaries. For some time it has been putting £500,000 a month into War Loans; the total now lent to the New Zealand and the Australian Commonwealth Governments exceeds £55,000,000, so the Society helps to protect the Nation while it protects its members. The strength of the A.M.P. and the security of its members come of Co-operation, allied with Prudence.
