Champion Fours The Centre Champion Fours competition is to be played at Cromwell on Saturday, February 22nd, commencing at 8 a.m. Fours so far selected are: Cromwell —(J. Trevathan, 1). Anderson, J. Robertson and T.Sunderland) successfully defended the trophy from a Clyde rink (Gibb, Harper, Paulin, George) on Wednesday night last. The final score being 25—20. Three Rink Championship In the Three Rink Championship competition Alexandra and Cromwell met at Alexandra on Thursday night last. The weather was at its worst for bowling with a cold wind and intermittent rain throughout the, play. Cromwell were leading in the early stages of the game but Alexandra came to light as the match proceeded to win comfortably by . 70 to 55. On Thursday, 27th February, Clyde will travel to Cromwell to play the final round of the season in this competition. Visit of Dunedin Bowlers Arrangements are now being made for the \isit of Dunedin bowlers to Central Otago. The party will be in three groups and will be in Alexandra and Omakau on February 25th; on 26th three rinks will play at Clyde and three at Cromwell. All the visitors will travel to Roxburgh after the Wednesday matches in readiness for the games against the centre on Thursday, returning to Dunedin on Friday. Ladies' Tournament at Oamaru At the Oamaru Tournament Mrs Hewitt's rink (Mesdames Howjohn Stevenson, Tyrrell and Hewitt) won three games out of four yesterday to qualify for post-section Dlav.
