Showing at Wanaka, Saturday; Naseby, Monday; Middlemarch, Tuesday; Ranfurly Wednesday., The "Dr Kildare" series, which in each picture has introduced a newcomer in the cast, usually thus boosting the player along the road of screen success, has more than its usual share in "The Doctor and the Debutante", newest adventure of the young doctor and his veteran preceptor. •The picture marks the debut of Ann Ayars, Hollywood's newest screen beauty, brouht from the concert stage and playing the feminine lead in this, he: first picture. Cast as a nurse, siie was catapulted to the lead after Director Major W- S. Van Dyke II had watched her first day's work. A new romantic team is added in Robert Sterling and Jean Rogers, who play Dr Winthrop, interne, a new character in the series, and his sweetheart, a nurse.Another newcomer is Barry Nelson, former college athlete and acting find, who immediately after the Dr Kildare picture was given the male lead in "A Yank on' the Burma Road."
