.'■;, ; ' _ ;/..; SUCCESSFUL QUEEN CARNIVAL. MISS 1.-HANRAHAN VOTED AS QUEEN. A very successful, Queen Carnival, to raise funds to 'repair the St. Bathans Hall terminated in a bazaar on April 26. During the bazaar the voting 'was keenly, and 'closely contested and the issue was" in doubt right up to the final :ount on May 3. The following afo the respective poai.ions and votes recorded by the three Queens:— : ! Miss I. Hanrahan (Miners' Queen) leaded the poll with 2685 votes. Miss L. Pauley (Farmers' Queen) vas second with 2473 votes. Miss A. Whcttcr (Sports' Queen) was hird with 1531 votes. We congratulate the winning lady on , cr efforts also, the other two queens •ho polled very well indeed. ' ' The following were the winners of arious raffles:— - i No I—Mrs ..Gallagher, St. Bathans.
