Though the season has not yet been officially opened the links arc being freely patronised. The alterations to the course recommended by Mr Scott, golf architect, have been carried cut. and now designed on lines in accordance with the best rules of golf they afford all the distance and thrills a . good golfer wants. Owing to the dry [weather it has not been possible to do much with the greens which are more or less rough but these will improve as the season advances. Personal. Mr B. Cree Brown, consulting engineer to the Teviot Power Board, was here*'for the week-end.
