Vesuvius is pacing very resolutely in his work now and the split heel, which robbed him of confidence a while back seems not to be affecting him now. RACING NEWS. Nightlad's next start may be at the Wellington fixture. He has accepted for this meeting. Hoylake has been doing better on the track and his form at Wellington will be eagerly looked 011 for future reference. His form there may indeed cause surprise.
Pink Note will not lack in condition when he is saddled up at Wellington and his display in a work-out at Wingatui on Saturday has caused his connections to hold high opinions of him.
