MAGISTRATE'S COURT

The magistrate (Mr H. J. Dixon) had very little court business brought before his notice last Thursday. The only case was a judgment summons, Lewis, Ltd. v. J. Thompson, claim £7 17s. The defendant did not appear. He was ordered to pay the amount due, with solicitor's fee 15s 6d, in default seven days in Alexandra gaol. WARDEN'S COURT. An application was made by Henry Hesson for a water race from a dam in a gully towards the head of Conroya.— Adjourned till next sitting of the court. •The different courts were all over in less than half an hour.
