(By "Colonel.") Mr Smith, the coach, is to be congratnlated on the evident progress of his pupils. I believe that good golf will be played by most of the members before the season is out.
Qn Saturday the ladies, played their first strode match. The hast cards read ; Miss Boss 8, 56; Miss Fleming 8, 61,
Bogey was too muoh for the men on Saturday: —A. M'Lean 7, 4 down; L. G. Eeilly scr, 6 down; E. Eoss 3, 6 down; J. A. O'Kane scr, 7 down.
