T. Spain of Earnscleugh, to Miss Mary Josephine Enright, second daughter of Mr P. , Enright of Gibston. The marriage ceremony was performed by the liev. f; Father O'Donnell of Queenstown, Miss % G. Enright and Misses"Mary and Dorcgu . : Spain, being bridesmaids, and Mr EH?'" Spain of Earnspletigb, best man. . A death took place in JJunedin •On' 5 Thursday last of a very old identity, Mrs Borrows, widow of the late Dr • Borrows. Prior to her marriage Mrs . Borrows, nee Miss Huie, was one of the original staff of the Qtago Girls High . ■'... School, of which her sister, Mrs Burn was principal; The deceased lady was . an aunt of Mrs Thomas Adams of this' town, and also df thb rising Christchurch journalist", Mr E. 0. Huie, editor of the bun. Mr, S..Saunders, " Father Sam," as. his subordinates affectionately call Him, has resigned the editorship of the - Lyttleton Tiinos. Apart, from being a journalist of outstanding ability, and a maker of history, on. account of his • infjnence . in liberal . legislation, Saunders is a man whoso kind heartedriess and huaan sympathy t havo gainod for him the lovo and veneration of a wide circle of friends, comprising people of evfcry kind, creed, and political, opinion..
