OPENING OF GALLOWAY SCHOOL,

We have to thank a gentleman of Galloway for thefollowing report of the opeuing of their school :-*-A successful concert and dance to celebrate the opening of the new school on. Galloway Flat was held on Friday, sth July/The chairman of the school committee—Mr B. Wood—in a. few well-choseu remarks acknowledged the indebtedness of the community to the Hon. R. Campbell and Sons for so generously providing' a free site, and to those residents to whose persistent efforts the credit of obtaining the present fine building redounds. ..Songs and recitations were-contributed bysMrs Thompson, Misses Campbell (2), Deady, 'Grant, Love, and' Messrs Mitcheson, Burke, Campbell, Harrison, Love, and Murphy. The 'school children from Ghatto Creek also gave three very enjoyable items. A dance followed, Mr C. Symons making a very efficient M.C.
