Golf Notes.

[By "Tirii Colonel."] On Thursday last the last match of the season, a mixed foursome, was played. The day was delightfully tine, but, to players, a shade warm. file winners, Mr Ross and Mrs Arthur, played a very good game. The best cards read : Mr Ross and Mrs Arthur (7).. 100 Mr Arthur & Mrs Webster (L 0) 104 Saturday, the 25th, brought a very successful and enjoyable season to a close. The day was ideal for g >lf, and [ think it will be admitted that a more enj jyable aftern joii has seldom been spent. Ine lady members very thoughtfully and kindly provided delightful and much appreciated afternoon tea. i'he approaching, putting, and driving were a decide I improvement on last year's ; in fact, the stand ird of golf has improved so well that I am sure members may bo well proud of their several achievements. The following are some of the best cards for approaching and putting : Mrs Gregg .. .. -21 ' Mrs Ross .. .. 21 Miss Bartholomew 2ij Miss Williams .. 20 Miss Ross 2(j In the play off Mrs Gregg won. ' The driving competiti m of the ladies was won by Miss Bartholomew with a good drive of 110 yards, Mrs Webster being second. The men's approaching and pulling was good : J. A. O'Kane ..21 W. Murray .. .. 2L L. G. Reilly .. 22 R. Ross .. .. S.i In the play off O'Kane beat Murray The men's driving was won by A. Arthur witii a delightful drive o( l'J-3 yards, A. M'Lean being second. The following play in their respective championship finals : -Miss Ixirtiiolo new plays Miss Ross, and J. A. O'Kane plays \V. Carter. / l ; It's most consoling, when you're ill.
