A new complaint which is said to be caused by watching cinematograph pictures has been discovered by a New York doctor. The symptoms are headaches and nervousness.' In an action heard in Manchester Oounty Court it was explained that the term " trotting " by an auctioneer meant taking fictitious bids for the purpose of raising the bidding. The value of goods imported into New Zealand during 1908 was £17,471,284, as compared with £ I ,302,796 during 1907. Exports for 1908 totalled: £16,217,541, against £20,971,839 for 1907.
