Mr Gheensladk, M H.K. for Waikato, speaking at a banquet tendered to him, referred to a Land Act favoring optional freehold to all Crown tenants. He predicted next session would see the option of freehold granted to tenants under the Land Act, but the great fight would be the extension of the privilege to tenants under the Lands tor Settlements Act.
