CLYDE V. ALEXANDRA. The first match of the season between the Clyde and Alexandra clubs was played at Clyde on Monday last. The weather was rather unfavorable for the occasion as intervening showers of rain hampered the game somewhat, and made it unpleasant for both players and spectators alike. Nevertheless the game was gone on with, and the home team gained a victory over their opponents by 31 runs. A special word of praise is due to ladies of Clyde for their kindness in supplying afternoon tea, which was much appreciated. Appended are the socres:— Clyde—First Innings.
