The Otago Central.
The chairman of the local branch of the Otago Central Railway League has convened a public meeting, to be held to-morrow evening, for the purpose of considering the present state of affairs regarding the railway, and to consider what steps should be taken to impress upon the Government the desirability of pushiug the line on to the Molyneux Valley with all possible speed. As this is a matter that vitally concerns every branch of industry in the district, we hope to see a large and representative attendance. The question of the re-leasing of the Moutere run will also no doubt be considered.
