25 May 1875 Glenorchy My dear Donald I return you my sincere thanks for forwarding the medicine for me per young Scully who appears to be a very smart boy. I hope to be able to see you once more before you leave for Wellington as I am very desirous to do so. I am pleased to hear that your foot is getting much better and trust you will soon be all right and able to go about. I will not send my plaster down as you are getting well under the Dr there is no use in a change and Kate says the same and advises me not to send it. I hope you are in good spirits and do not repine about your foot as it will soon go away, but if you find it does not you can use the remidy I told you off, the Marear Malls poltice with a wine glass of kerrosine mixed with the same amount of lesil [?]. Kate sends her kind regards. Always your affectionate brother Archibald John McLean
