4 November 1857 Port Napier Dear Brother I received all your letter and the Bill of Exchange on the bank for the purpose of buying land. I shall do all I can to keep things as the overland mail is going away this moment. I write you these few lines to tell you not to send the potatoes that I wrote for as I hear they are so dear in Auckland as I can get some seed potatoes hear.
