Wanganui 10th. July 1850. We, the undersigned, do hereby certify that we have this day witnessed the payment by Mr. McLean of the sum of Five Hundred Pounds (£500) to the Ngatiapa tribe, as the Second Instalment of Purchase Money for the district of land, excepting native Reserves, lying between the Rangitikei river and the boundary of the land designated, the Wanganui block.
