Government House, New Zealand, August 31/72 My dear McLean, Mr. Trollope will be at Tauranga about Septr. 15, and Gilbert Mair can meet him there with Govt. horses etc. - and take him through the Hot Lakes to Taupo, and thence to Cambridge. William Mair could show him the Upper Waikato, whence he can return by coach to Auckland. I think that it wd. be well for the Govt. to defray horses, canoes, and other expenses from Tauranga.
