My dear Donald In Robert's I enclose a line to say how glad I am to see how will you have been received by the King party and that you have done so much good more than all their fighting would ever do. My dream is now being read ? I had Robert laid up for ten days with a very severe attack of gout. He goes to Nelson tomorrow and being still far from well I go with him. I have just had a call from the Maclean's Lochbury. The gent. that wanted to see you it appears he could get nothing to do in Canterbury and have come here to try and [crossed out] his luck. They are looking out for a cottage, making all kinds of enquiries after you and in hopes you will do something for him. I told him not to depend upon you for a situation and that I thought Wellington the last place to come to. I am very sorry indeed that they should come here to stay as I know they will be a perfect pest but we must not encourage them. Annabella has not come down and I have been expecting her by every steamer but I am glad that she is staying with Alex. No doubt she will be down soon as you come. I wish from me you would invite the Hawick McLeans to visit us and Robert says it would give him pleasure to see them. How sad about young George. Poor Mrs Donald feels it very much now. When are you to be home. I hope soon. In haste I am always your affectionate sister Catherine Hart Mr Strang I've seen a good deal lately. He is wonderfull well.
