18 January 1865 Glenorchy My dear Donald I hope by this time that you are quite recovered from your illness and quite brisk again. I am happy to say that Catherine and myself is quite well but I look forward to a trip to the coast to be of great good to me and I would like very much to go when you are going again. If you go next month it would answer me very well. I hope poor Catherine is better in health than she was when I was down. I wonder she has not come up to make her preserves. You will have all the news from Alex who is down regarding the shearing and I have none to send you but would be very happy if you came up to stay for a few days. I am certain you would be the better of it. I have to go down soon to settle up all the year's accounts and then we will settle about the wethers etc. I will also take you all the receipt from John for stores received by him at the station so that you can compare it with the bills. Always your attached brother Archibald John McLean Donald McLean Esq By Charles Weber Esq
