Napier, Friday Dec. 17th 1869 My dear McLean, I hear from several quarters that it would be advisable you should meet the Meanee people tomorrow evening and that it wd. be looked on as rather a slight if you did not. If I were you I would go. I was just leaving the office to go over to tell you this when Ferard came in and he left saying he was going to you so I write this line instead. I hear W.
