1844. July 16. Memorandum given by W. E. Cormach to M. Donald MacLean - Protector at Taranaki, of land at Waipa and Waikato claimed by him for himself and others. 1. At Moungapori, Waipa, sold by Te Waru, Pungarehew, Paronga etc. 4 Jany. 1840 containg. about 1,800 c. 2,000 acres. or Kowherry to tara. 2. At Waitumma, Waipa, sold by Te Waru, Rangioiroa, etc. 13 January 1840. contg. about 2,550 acres. 3. Nahinapori, Waipa, also named Hakiaki, sold by Tekekawa and Paronga, 11 Jany. 1840: contg. abt. 1,000 acres. 4. At Koitane and Waitumma Waipa, and extending E. to the River Waikato, also called Ta Auta sold by Ewaru, Pungarehew, Peiora etc. 14 Jany. 1840; abt. 24,000 acres. 5. At Puketarata etc. Waipa, including where three Rivers meet called Onipukka, sold by Ewaru, Rangiriroa, Kuairohanga etc. 15 Jany. 1840 - 11,000 c, 12,000 acres, more or less: including Otewa. 6. At or near Toupiri at the junction of the Waipa and Waikato, sold by Ekati and 7 Feby. 1840 - contents not described. 7. Near Waikato Heads, calld Waipuna Mr. Marshall claims adjoining - sold 26 Decr. 1839 by Hapuru, Nga Kete, Nga Waka etc. 2 c. 4 acres.
