Canada Makes Fiscal Proposals.

Received 29th, 10.44 p.m. Mr D<£tkin has received a communication from the Governor-Gen-eral of Canada, asking on behalf of his government, that preferential trade relations be established between Australasia and Canada. He asks whether the Commonwealth was prepared to offer tariff concessions to Canada or whether the Federation would prefer to make the subject one of consideration by a conference of delegates representing Australia and Canada.
