CORONATION HONOURS,

LONDON, June 26. ' The Coronation honours are : — Sir Henry Wylie-Norman and the Duke of Connaught to be Field-marshals. ! The Prince of Wales to be General, Lord Hopetoun to be Marquis. Lord Milner to be Viscount. The Lord Mayor of London, Sirs Francis Evans, Francis Laking, Thomas Lipton, Frederick Treves, Charles Hubert Parry, and Edward Poynter to be Baronets. Conan Doyle, Gilbert Parker, Captain W. Russell, Dr John Logan Campbell to be Knights. Sir Gordon Sprigg (Cape Premier), Sir E. Satow (British Minister to China) to be Grand Crosses. W. L. Allardyce (Receiver-General of Fiji), W. L. Mercer (Crown Agent for the Colonies), Mr Leake, recently de- ! ceased, (Premier of Western Australia), I and Colonels O. Tunbridge (Queensland) aud A. Bauchop (New Zealand) to be Companions of the Order of St. Michael aud St. George. An Order of Merit has been instituted, including Viscounts Roberts, Woheley, and Kitchener, Lords Rayleigh, Kelvin, and Lister, Mr John Morley, Admirals Keppel, Seymour, aud Watts (academician). The South African honours are: — Lieutenant-colonel Wools Sampson, Commander of the Bath and Honorary Colonel in the Army. Colonels C. W. Cox (New South Wales), Wathorn (Tasmania), Porter (New Zealand), Kelly (New South Wales Medical Corps) and Colenbrander (of Kitchener's Fighting Scouts), Companions of the Bath.
