Tho " Daily Times" correspondent telegraphs from Nelson uudor date 19th irist., aa follows : — Tho Galatea wan sighted about 9 o'clock yostorday. Sho anchored shortly beforo noon, and tho Superintendent, Provincial Secretary, Sir Dtirid Monro, and Colonol Hichmoud yiaited tlio Vrinco in a steamer at 2 o'clock. Various excursion parties in local steamers sailed round tho ship. Tho Prince lands ut 10 o'clook to-day. A Maori dauco takes pluco in tho afternoon, and a ball at night. It i8 doubtful if tho Prince will attend tho war dun co. Thero aro largo numbers of people about tho wharves, but thoro is no display.
3.50 p tn. Tho Prince, with the Governor and suite, landed from tho blcumor Lady Barkly at 10 o'clock. A great gathering and a largo procession took placo with entire success. A Hong of welcomo also was sung by tho Maorios, whilo tho Punco was on his way to tho city. # A well-attended levoo was then hold in tho Provincial Council Hall, ut which addresses wero presented. Iu tho ultornoon tho Priuco drovo into tho couutry in n four-in-h.md. A number of tho chief Government officials diuowith tho Prince tit Panama llouso this o\euing. A largo b.ill also takes placo in tho Provincial Council Hall to-night, and tho racos como off tomorrow.
