THE ENGLISH FOOTBALL TEAM.

VXBIT TO NEW ZEALAND IMPROBABLE. [United Press Association.] SYDNEY, June 21. The Bugby Union has received a letter stating that, owing to the time required,. Mr Mullineux, the promoter, do#3 not favour the extension of the tour of the visiting English footballers to New Zealand. The extra time, it says, would probably prevent a fairly strong combination. The Secretary of the Union, replying to this letter, suggested a programme of matches in New South Wales and Queensland, covering eight weeks froin June to August, and stated if they could manage an extra tour for another fortnight, they might arrange matches in New Zealand. It is understood that the programme will include fixtures against all Australasia. This would probably require six or seven players from New Zealand, and if the English team be unable to visit New Zealand, the latter might possibly send -e^tra men to Australia lo secure & match against the visitors.
