WOUNDED BY GERMANS AT BUCHAREST.
London, July 13. Mrs Alfred Stead, wife of the famous Daily Express correspondent, has received news of an attempt on the life of' her husband at Bucharest, the capital of Roumania. Mr Stead was attacked by Germans, on the night of June 30 % He was very seriously injured, and was mo- J montarilv blinded. The last message. | dated July 11. does not state the man- ' uer in wliich Mr Stead was attacked, j but it adds that he now recovers ' consciousness intermittently. j Mr Alfred Stead went to Bucharest i as special correspondent of the Daily ' Express.
