DEATH OF ADMIRAL BEAUMONT

LONDON, 20th June. Admiral Sir Lewis Anthony Beaumont is dead, at the age of 75.
[Admiral Beaumont was First Lord of the Admiralty in 1894, and from then until 1897 was Director of Naval Intelligence: In 1899 and 1900 he was Commander-in-Chief in the Pacific, and had command in Australia from / 1901 till 1903. From 1905 till 1908 he was Commander-in-Chief at Devonport. He retired in 1912.]
