TROOPS AT THE DARDANELLES
HOW THE LANDING WAS EFFECTED. LONDON, 27th April. The Times welcomes the landing of Sir lan Hamilton's army at the Dardanelles, and says there should have been conjoint action of the two services throughout. Probably the Navy is watching the lines at Bulair, while the landing force is attacking the southwesterly end of the peninsula In order to cover further landing operations, the attention of the Ger- , mans and Turks was diverted by feints at other points, giving the Allies at Gallipoli time to entrench, which was done successfully.
