Four candidates stood for the Mayoralty of Karori Borough, and the result of the poll was the return of Mr. P. C. Jordan by a majority of 17. Mr. Jordan is a member of the clerical staff at the Government Printing Office. The following is the result of the polling :— Council Russell's Chamber. Tea Room. Total. Jordan, P. C. 44 66 110 Pell, R. T. ... 65 28 93 Read, R. ... 34 31 65 Standen, E. J. 8 21 29 There were ten informal votes, the total numbd of votes recorded being 307.
