TRIAL TRIP OF THE LIONEL. The s » tug Lionel went on a trial trip round the haiboui yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Captain E Keane has been appointed mastei, and was in charge of her during the tiip. A numbei of people availed themselves of the opportunity for a cause round the harbour, amongst whom were Messri. The ship Sam Mendel has finished the discharge of her inward cargo in splendid condition. The Kchooner Mary Melville transshipped hei cargo of manganese into hei ; so this will act as ballast on her voyage to Melbourne, for which poi t she leaves shot tly.
