BADGES FOR REJECTS.

Sir, —I would suggest that all men who havo offered their military services to their country, and for some physical defect have not been accepted, should be provided with some distinctive badge such as a small white cross, to distin- c guish them from the shirkers, and so t spare them many moments of humilia- 1 tion and explanation. Tho cost of tho badge may bo nominal, and supplied by j the recipients, and so sparo the Gov- I ornment any expense in tho matter.— ) I am, etc., i SHOW UP THE SHIRKERS.
