Have you. a dog? If you have, do you want to know all about his mental and moral characteristics? Then why don't you take him to a phrenologist and have his bumps felt? It's quite the thing in England and America. In the "latter country a Miss Fowler appears to be the chief apostle of the. new art. 'Bosh! , Who ever heard of such a thing?' I think I hear you remark. ; But there is no bosh about it, and if you haven't heard of it it is time you should be enlightened. Among intelli- ■ gent persons there remain but few ' sceptics where phrenology is \ concerned, provided of course ■it is practised scientifically, and not Iby quacks. And why shouldn't the | formation of a dog's cranium indicate ;as much of canine character as the i human head does of man's traits?
