HORSLEY—LOVEDAY.

I The first wedding held in the Wan- ! ganui East Baptist Church", which was prettily decorated for the occasion, was solemnised yesterday morning by the Rev. H. JE. Edridge, and witnessed by a largo number of interested friends of the bride and bridegroom. The contracting parties we're Beatrice, second daughter of Mr. F. Loveday, of Wanganui, and Robert, eldsr son of Mr. 11. B. Hjorslcy, of Wanganui. The bride, who was* given away"by her father, looked very charming in a dress of cream chiffon taffeta, daintily trimmed with.'glace silk; and surmounted by the orthodox veil'and orange blossoms. She also carried a, handsome shower bouquet. Tho bride was attended by her sister, Miss Frances Loveday, and\Miss 01iv«.Horsley (sister-of the bridegroom), and Mists Kitty Loveday (niece of the bride) made a pretty little flower girl. Tho two' bridesmaids were attired in pretty dresses of pale blue marquisette, with mole grey velvet, hats lined with palo blu© silk and trimmed with plumes of blue and grey, mounted with an amber-coloured • rose. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr.-H..G." Hbrsley, as best man, and by Mr. R. F. Harris (cousin, of the bridegroom) as groomsman. At the conclusion of the marriage service, the Rev. H. E. Edridge, on behalf of the church, presented the newly-wedded couple with a handsome Bible, as is customary on the first wedding being sol-ve-mhised in a church; The presentation was particularly appropriate as both members are active . workers in. the church. • After the ceremony the wedding party «nd guests adjourned to "Hillside," the.residence of the bride's parents, where the wedding 'breakfast I was partaken of, and the usual toasts I honoured. The happy couple left by motor to catch the Main Trunk express en route to Auckland, where the honeymoon is to be-spent.. The bride's travelling dress was a. smart navy blue costume, with a pretty hat of saxeblue silk, lined xy'.ih bfack silk velvet, and trimmed with a black lancer plume.
