He won, aftor a desperate Btruggle with La Fltehe, by three-quarters ofa length, there being a length between tho second and third horses. Time, 2min 44sec. [Sir Hugo ran ive timos as a 2-year-old, winning twice. He made his debut in the Thirty-ninth Triennial States at Ascot, in which ho ran third fco Polygofc and St. Dara ion. Ho next won the Rous Memorial Stakes at Goodwood, with Kyle and Oouthillier second and third, Afc the Doncaster September mooting ho could only got third to La Fleche and Blossom in the Champagne Stake 3, but ho made amends for this defeat by landing the Bo3cawen Stakes nt tbe Newmarket Firsfc October meeting, in which, however, he met nothing of note. Ho fiinished bis 2-year-old career by being unplaced in the Middle Park Platp.]
