As they commenced to go down the back stretch Colebeck supplanted Blarney, and Caaket went on seoond with Blarney next, and Marino and Bluefire together last. Colebeck was »till in front passing the kennels, and C»»ket and Blarney were still s^toud and third respectively, with Artilleur fourth, and Bluefira last. Colebeck wa§ still showing the way to Casket and Blarney an they ran round the top turn, while Marino, followed by Blueflre, was moving up. Colebeck and Casket landed in the straight side by sid , but before i.he distance post was reached the former was in difficulties, and Bluefire, makiug her effort on the outside, caught the others just inside the distance, and goiDg on, won very easily by a length from Casket, with Blarney three lengths away third, Colebeck fourth, Artilleur fifth, Mariuo sixth, and Three Star last. At the entrance to the rails, rather less than half a mile from home, Priestholme had shot his bolt, and St. Florian then assumed the command from Isinglass, Gouvernail, Son o' Mine, and Rueburn. At this point Loates was diiving Isinglass, and when he had been taken to the head of affairs on the top of the Bushes hill Gouvernail went on second from St. tflorian.and Son o' Miue. So they progressed into the Abingdon mile bottom, when Isinglass bad secured the measure of his field, and being in the condition to ease off half-way tip the till, he then won decisively by two lengths ; the same between second and tbiTO. St Florian was close -up fourth, Raeburn fifth, and Prtestliolme sixth, the three finishing at wide intervals. Time, 2ioin 13sec.
