These were followed by Golden Arrow, Ormac, Scarborough, The Prize, and Simon Renard until a quarter of a mile from home. Here Red Enamel dropped on to the heels of Daydream and Ratton, which pair began to overhaul Floss. At the distance Ratton was in trouble, and Daydream having challenged Floss, The Prize next appeared on the scene, and with a splendid finish between the three, Daydream won by a shnit head, Floss in turn having a nock the best of The Prize. Three lengths off Red Enamel was fourth, Ormac fifth, Ratton sixth, Simon Renard seventh, Lady Kendal eighth, and then, pulling up, Rock Pigeon, a long way off. Value of the stakes, £i 35.
