Sir Bevya, the Derby winner, was nowhere, and the high-priced Marshal Scott broke down. So little did Lord Falmouth estimate lis show with Muley Edris, that he gave F. Archer up to Lord Rosebery, so that he might ride Viaconti. The Filly Stakes was a great upset, the Duke of Westminster's grand filly Donrance being unexpectedly defeated by an outsider, in tha Jenny Driver filly. Mr P. Lorillard has purchased from Mr J. W. Hunt Reynolds the bay colt Falsetto, by Enquirer — Farfaletto, by Australian, three years old, the winner of the Travel's and Uenner Stakes at Saratoga, for the sum of 18,000 dollars. It is reported that Mr liorillord intends sending Falsetto over to England to join Parole and the other "good ones" he has there. The New York Herald aays : — " This fine colt will be a great acquisition to Mr Lorillard's string, and, should lie be as fortunate as Parole was in the foggy and cloudy climate of England, he will be able to win many a race for his owner."
