Diggers' Thanks
STILL a happy little echo of the George Thomas McQuay case comes from the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association. The Secretary (E. H. Sharp), writes to "N.Z. Truth" as follows:— "I am directed to convey to you an expression of appreciation on the action taken by you m connection with the unfortunate case of a returned soldier, G. T. McQuay. "Enquiries concerning this man had been made through the Returned Soldiers and Sailors League of Australia, but it is very gratifying to my Association to know that an independent organ such as yours should have taken the trouble, which it did, m connection with the case, and I should like to congratulate you on behalf of my Association on the successful results of your enquiry." (Signed) E. H. SHARP.
