Aug. 30 It is reported that many, local Germans have been ordered to apply at military registration offices in certain Polish towns on various dates between September 10 and 15, says the Danzig correspondent of the Independent Cable Service. Danzig police told inquirers that "in fact those towns are still Polish, but on the date fixed in, the order they will belong to Germany." Polish reports state that the population in Danzig is becoming unnerved, says the Warsaw correspondent of the Times. Shipyard authorities are .alleged to have dismissed Poles without notice. A ceremony to mark the 25th anniversary of the landing of New Zealand troops in Samoa was held this morning, when the flag was hoisted and a salute of 21 guns was fired.
