There is great uneasiness in Danzig, where it is feared the local Nazis might make some move with or without support from Berlin. FRICTION CONTINUES SLOVAKS AND HUNGARIANS NEGOTIATIONS SUSPENDED FURTHER HOSTILITIES LONDON. March 28 The negotiations between Slovakia and Hungary have been suspended, says a message from Budapest. The Slovaks returned to Bratislava, declaring that they were not able to accept the Hungarian proposals without consultation. It is understood that the atmosphere is not promising. Slovakian artillery bombarded Bunkos, destroying two houses and killing one Hungarian soldier, says the Independent Cable Service. It silenced a Hungarian battery. Yesterday Slovaks bombarded Kiskolon, killing one and seriously wounding another soldier. The Hungarian press is nevertheless pleading for reconciliation with Slovakia.

The additional expenditure proposed is £3,450,000.

PACIFIC DEFENCE BRITISH DELEGATION LONDON, March 28 The Prime Minister, Mr. Chamberlain, was asked in the House of Commons to-day whether recent events necessitated the strengthening of the British delegation to the Pacific Conference. In reply he said the Government was satisfied that the present composition of the delegation was suitable.
