Many have been injured in encounters with the police, says a message from Warsaw. It is reported that the Danzig Polytechnic, in which Nazis and Polish students clashed, has. been closed in response to a Polish request. ' Mounted policemen made a baton charge on students outside Parliament House and the Foreign Office, says the Warsaw correspondent of the Daily Telegraph. The police surrounded the university, confining in the buildings hundreds of students.

Students at Ulica and Wilcza demolished the German Club. Crowds wrecked the German high school at Chorzow, explaining in a leaflet that it was revengo for Danzig. There were similar occurrences at Poznan, Cracow, Lemberg and VilnSP, but Danzig is believed to be quiet. An Independent Cable message says: Shouting "Out with the Poles," Nazi students at Danzig threw . out 50 Polish students from a lecture room in the Technical High School. Later 5000 Poles demonstrated at Gyndia, shouting: "Down with Hitler and Germany." Anti-German demonstrations are reported at Teschen, Trzynietz and other centres. A number of German shop windows were broken. Students at Cracow paraded an effigy of Herr Hitler, which they pelted with stones.
