RICHMOND-HAMILTON BRIDE IN LACQUERED SATIN MAIDS WEAR HONEY GOLD NET A wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends was celebrated yesterday afternoon in St. Andrew's Church, Anzac Avenue, when Miss Valerie .Jean Hamilton, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Hamilton, of Woodford Road, Mount Mden, was married to Mr. Clifford I'. Richmond, only son of Mr. H. P. Richmond and Mrs. Richmond, of Auckland.

The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P.- Gladstone Hughes, and the church had heen decorated for the occasion by the bride's friends in an autumnal colour scheme of golden zinnias and crocuses.

The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a beautiful gown of ivory lacquered brocaded satin. Made with a square neckline edged with finely pleated tulle, and long sleeves close-fitting from the elbow, and forming frilled points over the wrists, the Empire bodice merged into a full skirt with a long sweeping train. The tulle veil was cut in three diamond points and was attached to a dainty Juliet cap of fine lace edged with tiny blossoms. A semi-circle of water lilies and maidenhair fern was carried over her arm. Coronets of Flowers

M iss Margie Kidd and Miss Jocelyn Miller, of Pailiia, attended as bridesmaids. Their frocks were of honey gold stiffened net over taffetas slips of the same shade, aud were made with very full, long skirts and big puffed sleeves. The slim fitting bodices were made of taffetas, and the inverted V-shaped fronts continued into long sash ends which tied and fell down the back of the frocks. They wore coronets of gold and scarlet gerberas, find carried sheaths of similar flowers. Mr. Reginald Norm was best man, and Mr. Robert Bruce was groomsman. Acting as ushers were Mr. J. .Gregory and Mr. L. Drummond. After the service, a reception was held at Hotel Cargcn. Mrs. Hamilton received the guests wearing an ensemble of fine grey lace and a black halo hat with a soft rose pink ostrich feather mount at one side. Her bouquet was of pink carnations and maidenhair fern. 31 rs. Richmond, the bridegroom's mother, wore a deep wine embossed crepe frock, relieved with an antique silver clasp set with red stones, and a small felt toque of the same colour.
